HEARTBREAKING RESCUE
Through a sad series of events this poor dog was surrendered to us today in critical condition. We have named him Milton and he is only 4 years old but clearly his life so far has been hell. He has a very low temperature and he is barely able to stand or walk. We were so heartbroken to see not only his body condition but the defeated look in his eyes. He is now at a veterinary hospital receiving care and we are hoping that his prognosis will be good.
It is hard to imagine why anyone would purposefully neglect such a sweet boy. We have promised Milton a much better life is ahead for him.
Update:
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Milton has passed away. Despite our best efforts, he was unable to regulate his body temperature and continued to decline despite treatment. We were with him until the end, providing love and support as he made his way to Heaven. Last night, our community came together in an urgent effort to save a cat named Dino, who fell victim to a horrific act of cruelty. A group of teenagers subjected Dino to a vicious attack, where they held him down and lit fireworks on his body. Despite the trauma, Dino managed to survive the ordeal.
After a relentless search, our volunteers found Dino, and the injuries were as severe as reported. Thanks to the swift action of our team, Dino is now hospitalized, in stable condition, and receiving the care he desperately needs. He is currently battling a severe infection, but thankfully, there are no signs of sepsis in his bloodwork.
We are immensely grateful to everyone in our community who joined forces to support Dino during this challenging time. Although Dino is not yet out of danger, he will remain under close medical supervision for at least a week. It's heartwarming to witness such an outpouring of care and concern for Dino.
We want to emphasize that this is an ongoing investigation, and we are collaborating with the Police to ensure that justice is served for Dino. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Dino's recovery and stood against such acts of cruelty. #JusticeForDino #CommunitySupport
After Years Spent Overlooked On The Streets, Blind & Deaf Kitty Needs Urgent Surgery For Fractured Jaw & Broken Teeth
This gentle kitty has such a beautiful, kind soul. All he wants is warmth and affection, yearning for a soothing touch to melt into. His life has been anything but easy, and he comes with several ailments and medical needs. But we are prepared to do everything possible to nurse him back to health and provide him with the loving care he so badly needs.
Silky’s journey began on the harsh streets, where he was a solitary figure ignored by those who passed. He survived day to day without the warmth of a home, battling the elements and the dangers lurking around every corner. No one knows how long Silky struggled alone; all that is certain is that his years outside have not been kind to him and, instead, have left him fragile and frightened.
Blindness has claimed both of Silky’s eyes—one due to injury and the other from the slow, harsh grip of neurological complications. He is also completely deaf now, his world devoid of sound. He is forced to navigate by scent and touch alone. As if this weren’t enough, he has a severe jaw fracture, coupled with numerous broken teeth, that requires urgent surgical medical attention to both relieve his pain and allow him to eat properly.
The moment we stumbled upon this sweet boy, we knew straight away that we had to save him from this pain! We carefully scooped up his battered, broken body and cradled him close to us as we rushed him to our trusted vet clinic for immediate care. Our hearts broke at the mere thought of him struggling alone for so terribly long, with no one to turn to and nowhere to go. He is so precious, sniffing our hands gently to greet us and curling into our warmth once he trusts us, purring softly. It is up to us to ensure his lives are filled with joy.
Under veterinary care, Silky is receiving the comprehensive treatment he so desperately needs. Specialists are working tirelessly to manage his pain, using a combination of medication and therapy tailored specifically to his severe needs. He is being nourished with high-quality prescription food designed to help his weakened body regain strength. Every measure is being taken to ensure he feels safe and cared for during this trying time. We know that these efforts will be far from easy, but this sweet boy deserves the absolute best during his twilight years.

💔💔 STARVING IN DETROIT 💔💔
Poor Chance was found as a stray in Detroit starving and looking for help. A kindhearted resident of Detroit noticed him and called us for help. We paid for Chance to go to a veterinary hospital for care. He was examined by the veterinarian and thankfully he is expected to make a full recovery and he is heartworm negative. Chance is also scheduled to be neutered in a few weeks after his stray hold is over and after he gains some weight.
Thankfully Chance has a safe place to go with the help of his finder so he has an amazing life to look forward too!
💔FOUND WANDERING💔
This poor old man was found wandering on 8 Mile near the Detroit/Ferndale border. He is a sweet elderly gentleman but is very thin and struggling to walk. We have transported him, Tyson, to a veterinary hospital for care. The temperatures in Detroit are in the teens today, and we expect more snow. Please remember to bring your pets inside. Sadly, several dogs have been found deceased, and even with straw and a doghouse, it doesn’t guarantee that your pets will survive this frigid weather.
